OUR STORY
Rooted in lived experience.
Founded by Linda Weidner in 2023, the Adaptive Foundation was created in response to a significant gap in accessible resources and inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities, particularly for families facing financial hardships. Motivated by her personal experiences as the parent of a son with ASD, Linda recognized the challenges that many families encounter in finding affordable, supportive programs that meet the unique needs of their family members. Her vision was to create greater access to inclusive services, community connection, and opportunities for people with disabilities to thrive physically, socially, and emotionally.
Today, we support individuals and families at every stage of life — from early diagnosis through adulthood — through direct financial assistance, connection to community, and programs and events designed around the needs of every participant.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Every family belongs.
Inclusion isn't an accommodation we add on — it's the starting point for everything we build.
Support shouldn't wait for a crisis.
We're here for the everyday questions, not just the emergencies.
Lived experience matters.
Our guidance comes from people who've sat in the same waiting rooms and asked the same questions.
No one keeps score.
Every contribution — a donation, an hour, a shared resource — carries real weight here.
